On Friday, November 6th, we welcomed our pledge class into the brotherhood! Brothers from the Zeta Kappa chapter at Bowling Green University were also in attendance at the ceremony, which took place in the Forum at Ohio Northern University's Dicke College of Business. With a little maneuvering, we were able to carry out the ceremony in the usual, dignified fashion. The room had an air of joy an hour before the pledges became brothers, and their families' gifts for the new initiates lined the tables. Family pictures were taken inside the forum, as well as in the hallway shown above. The polar bear statue never fails to be a goofy photo op, since students constantly climb on its back. On that particular night, however, the dress code kept us from climbing Klondike, lest a fashion faux pas may occur.

Having seen how much everyone has grown over the past few months, I am not surprised that we were able to accept all of our lovely pledges! You guys should be proud of yourselves for supporting each other so heartily and respecting your limits. A fine line stands between caring for self and service to others; I believe you all have excelled at walking it.

In every class, there are always those two or three especially rambunctious members who may get too noisy from time to time. Who brings the pep and spirit to chapter meetings during "Hell Week" and gross, wintery and rainy days? These guys do!! I was quite ecstatic to find out that newly initiated brothers Mahaya Porter and Jessica Isaak would be joining AEB chapter. Both of them know how to laugh with others and see the fun side of every situation. Their bright minds and personalities will really make this chapter's spark shine! Who can forget the amazing Joey Williams, who organized a coat drive to benefit the local ReStore, or everyone who donated to his cause?

Every step of the way, these new brothers have dedicated their time to service projects like Lily Rodeheffer's book drive. She needed so much help with the book donations, and the former pledges did not hesitate to take boxes over to Ada Public Library! Our VPS Austin Hopkins, Kelley, Logan, Whitney, Emma and Michael are just a few of the brothers who gave generously of their time. This past semester's trips to HSoAC, which is now funded by Ohio SPCA, were chock-full of dedicated service from brothers and pledges alike. Brothers, your hard work truly keeps on giving!

I cannot wait to see what amazing ideas and projects you all will execute next semester! Keep serving, everyone!

Rachel Bulko, News Editor
