With Growth Comes Prosperity

The month of October holds many great events for our little chapter of APhiO! In September, we were visited by Elise, a chapter consultant whose job is to ensure the success of chapters nationwide. She gave us some excellent ideas for expanding AEB chapter, for example, developing an advisory board and involving our existing advisors in more chapter events. At a recent open Executive Committee meeting, brothers and Exec members did a miniature version of CAPS (an analysis of our chapter’s growth and prediction of where we want to go). Since our chapter has grown exponentially in years past, it was not hard to find students from different graduating classes and majors (over thirty majors in our chapter!).
After a successful Homecoming weekend, several fun service projects and fellowship events, including Cards Night, took place within the brotherhood. The most recent service project, Hardin County’s annual Candlelight Vigil, educated the brothers Lily, Austin and me, as well as other members of Hardin County about Domestic Violence. Crossroads Crisis Center will most definitely continue to give our brothers meaningful service projects for many semester
s. Perhaps we will assist in gift-wrapping for the Center’s annual Christmas Gifting program.
Stays tuned for more events, and have a wonderful, service-filled week!
