Operation Beautiful

This week, the brothers of APhiO’s Alpha Epsilon Beta chapter are preparing to learn valuable leadership skills and establish lasting friendships at the highly anticipated Sectionals conference at the Ohio State University. First on the agenda, however, is participation in the national incentive known as Operation Beautiful!

Earlier this week, a campus cleanup was cancelled due to rain. Naturally this did not deter our spirits! Helping others see the beauty of spring and their own gorgeousness sometimes involves jumping in puddles like an elementary school student and getting soaked! Our brothers Austin Hopkins and Carmen Cano brought smiles to several faces on Tuesday afternoon with their Self-Appreciation Picture Project. This involved students writing their best qualities on a whiteboard and being photographed holding the whiteboard. Anyone could tell you that some confidence levels were through the roof that day.

On Thursday, The brothers of Alpha Phi Omega posted positive Post-Its along the walls of the freshman dorms and Affinity commons. Spreading the love at the end of a very long week definitely helped us all get out of our springtime exam funk! Friday will see the last event for a beautiful week, for brothers of AEB will be handing out compliment cards at lunchtimes to all students and faculty who want some positive vibes- and who doesn’t?

Sectionals is fast approaching, so be on the lookout for an overview of the sweet service and fellowship that will be going on this weekend!

In LFS,

Rachel Bulko
